WHAT IS SUMMER CONFERENCE?
Summer Con is a week-long trip to Catalina Island where we get to look at Scripture, spend time away from LA, make new friends, and get a chance to rest and recharge. It's perfect for anyone who is seeking to experience more of God no matter your spiritual background!
Each day we join together for 3 sessions to look deeply at Scripture in a communal, inductive format. We start with the gospel of Mark and build on that from each year. It's a great opportunity to grow in your faith or learn about faith for the first time and do so in community. Many students look back on their times at Summer Con as defining moments of their college career, and faith life in general.
For your first time, you start with the first half of the gospel of Mark (Mark 1) and then your second time you finish Mark (Mark 2). After you've finished Mark we have a new option each year (Prayer Seminar, OT Survey, Acts, Senior Seminar, etc.)
These times of Scripture study will be interspersed with free-time in the afternoons and evenings where you can enjoy being on the island. During our afternoon free times you can hike, sit on the beach, swim, play volleyball or basketball, kayak, paddle board, play games, and enjoy being on a beautiful island.
WHAT TO BRING
Sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, towel, personal items for bathroom/showers (hot showers and bathroom facilities are available at camp), notebook, pens, warm clothes (it will get cold at night), modest swim suit, and sunscreen.
There is a snack/gift shop as well as a book table, so be sure to bring some money if you want to buy anything.
We have a strict attendance policy once registered. No one is allowed to arrive late or leave the conference early without talking to Justin or Gabby first.

LOCATION: Campus by the Sea, Catalina Island
We will arrange carpools leaving from the Valley on Monday morning.

COST: $335 ($77 deposit) - Scholarships available!
HOW TO SECURE YOUR SPOT:
1. Pay $77 for the non-refundable Summer Conference Deposit
This is a part of the $335 conference fee. Pay by cash, check, venmo or PayPal. Email Justin (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Gabby (email@example.com) for how to pay your deposit. Must pay your deposit in order to secure your spot. This non-refundable deposit secures your spot at Summer Con.
2. After you pay, fill out the registration form & any scholarship forms you need.
We are fundraising to reduce the cost of camp overall. Camp costs $335, but through fundraising we are working to be able to provide scholarships to make Summer Con affordable for everyone. We ask each participant pay as much as they are able to before asking for scholarships, so that we can have more scholarships to offer others as well.
Note: If you are able to help contribute towards scholarships for other students as well, please let Justin or Gabby know!
3. Pay the remaining amount of your Conference Fee (before the boat departs)
You must pay the remainder of the $335 fee before the boat leaves the dock.
